Hello blog!

I used to think studio shoots were boring. That was until I found photographer: Elaine Torres.
Elaine's work is dynamic, innovative, and beautiful. She specializes in fashion editorial work but is best known for her studio work. Elaine's ability to turn an all white studio into something more really inspired me. So I decided to dig deep, grab one of my go to models (shoutout to Jesse), and try to create my own creative indoor studio setup.

Besides, it was time that I put this studio gear to good use.

After watching countless youtube videos on DIYing your own studio, *insert shameless self plug for my HOW TO: CREATE A DIY STUDIO video*, I finally was able to create a setup that worked.

I set up my soft boxes and put pink/purple tinted cellophane to act as lighting "gels". Then I had 2 lamps in which I replaces their regular bulbs with pink lightbulbs.
For you visual people, here is a rough drawing of the set up (red gel lights represent the lightbulbs).

Now you know the setup, let's take a look at the final images! (Shot on: Canon 6D + 24-70mm 2.8)

Overall I  am SO happy with the final images. This shoot was a great way for me to get out of my creative rut. Can't wait to do more creative shoots in the future.
