Announcement:

Happy Summer! I can finally say that I survived my first year of college. I could go on and on about how amazing my experience was. However my announcement is not about college, but about this blog. When I first started this blog I only planned for it to be a temporary place for my friends who don't indulge in other social media sites to be able to view my photos. I rarely linked my blog anywhere on my other social media sites as I was slightly shy and embarrassed to show people this blog but after several post I realized that I loved  blogging my shoots. I loved sharing the details and giving some behind the scenes photos and commentary and being able to thank the people who made this shoot possible. I also liked to take the time and sit down and really think about what my intentions were for the shoots and being able to relive my favorite moments from them. Blogging my shoots has become a strict ritual that I wanted to uphold. So, because of this I decided my lovely blog needed some TLC. I have fully updated everything. From the mobile layout and online template to every individual link, it's all new!
This announcement may not mean much to any of you new comers (hello newbies, I hope you decide to stay <3), but to those who have worked with me and/or have been following this blog for a while, you will understand how big of a step this is for me. This blog has a big place in my heart and I want to keep it that way. So please enjoy my fully renovated blog and feel free to comment and give me your feedback!

Now onto the shoot!

I can honestly say that my favorite thing about attending college is meeting new people. For those who don't know me in person, I am a talker and an all around people person so being surrounded by new faces and strangers makes my heart flutter.

I love the moment when you meet someone new and you instantly hit it off and it begins to feel like you have known each other for a life time. I want to take every opportunity I can to make a deep and personal connection with every person I meet. Getting to know new people is one of the reasons why I began photographing. I wanted to be able to capture the beauty I see in every person I meet.

I met Morgan half way through the semester when she became my new neighbor, and as you can see from the photos I took of her, she is stunning and has a breath taking smile. This shoot was important to me not only because it felt great to catch up with an old friend but also because Morgan will not be returning this fall as she transferred to another university.

Morgan was so calm and relaxed even when her dress broke mid-shoot and she didn't complain even though I made her lay down in the itchy grass. She
is such a warm and hilarious person and I'm just beaming over the fact that I got to capture her essence through photos.

Morgan:

My assistant for this shoot was Tommy and during Morgan's outfit change I wanted to keep the momentum going as the sunlight was fading so I pushed Tommy in front of the camera into the dreaded itchy grass and snapped away. See more photos of Tommy here.

Tommy:

Thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement! I hope to share more shoots with you all this summer!
Until next time! xo
