So for all of you late-birds, yes, I am in Canada. I am studying abroad here at Brock University for their Winter term.

Now that you are caught up, let's get into this.
For all you readers (I love ya'll), I will be breaking down every day of the week. Accompanied by photos and little antidote from my day.

SUNDAY JAN 7, 2018
I took the trek from Greensboro, NC, USA to St. Cathrines, ON, Canada. I flew from Greensboro, to Atlanta, to Buffalo and then took the NiagaraAir Bus across the border into Canada. FYI the name NiagaraAir Bus is quite misleading. It wasn't a bus. It was more like an Uberpool. I got on campus around 5:30 pm.  I had no idea where I was or where I was supposed to go. Luckily, I signed up for a Brock Guide, which is basically just an upperclassmen that helps incoming students. She was able to show me where my room was and she even gave me a campus tour. Which...was a bit much for the day. I was dazed, confused, and overwhelmed. Once I did get to my room I cried. I had tears held up from leaving my family in Greensboro up until getting dropped off in a place that I had no knowledge of. Luckily, my week got better.
MONDAY JAN 8, 2018
I went to my first class. The course is called: Canada from Beyond its Borders - A Foreign Prospect. Surprisingly the class was filled with a whopping 8 people (including myself).
TUESDAY JAN 9, 2018
I ate at the dinning hall for the first time. The food is good but...nothing tops southern cuisine. Oh did I mention that the dinning hall is in the same building as my residence? That's probably the most convenient thing ever.
WEDNESDAY JAN 10, 2018
I signed up for a trip to Niagara Falls hosted by Brock University's International Centre. I also went to the store for the 3rd this week. It's awesome that there is a bus that will take me less than 15 minutes aways to the nearest mall/grocery store. It, however, is not so awesome for my wallet. Also this is the third time I took the bus. It's really cool that public transportation is preferred. Back home I have never taken the bus, but I'm starting to like the bus rides here in Canada.
THURSDAY JAN 11, 2018
Today was super chill because I didn't have any classes! This will only last for this week, as seminars and lab start the second week of classes. So in honor of being a couch potato for the day, I tried so interesting chip flavors. All Dressed and Ketchup chips. Here is the verdict:
All Dressed: tasted like a mixture of these 3 chip flavors: salt & vinegar, sour cream & cheddar, and loaded baked potato.
Ketchup Chips: At first, it tastes EXACTLY like a tomato, then after another chip they start to tastes like french fries dipped in ketchup.
FRIDAY JAN 12, 2018
So after a week of up and down emotions, I saw my first good sign. I found a ladybug crawling on my wall before bed. I don't know about you, but to me, this meant good things were coming.
SATURDAY JAN 13, 2018
Saturday, was arguably the highlight of the week. I got to see Niagara Falls for the first time. Let me tell you, that thing is HUGE. We honestly didn't even realized that there was another side of the falls. We just stayed in our one area only to find out at the end of the trip, the other side was a much better view.

Well that's it for my first week in Canada! I will try my best to continue to update you all on any and all exciting things I encounter while here.
