Hello blog!

Let's start this post with a little Alycee Trivia.
When am I in my happiest state?
a. while ingesting several cups of alpine berry tea
b. when I'm sunbathing on the top level of parking decks
c. when I'm running around the city without a care in the world
d. when I get to spend a full day with some rad creatives
e. all of the above

If you answered all of the above than congratulations, you have good test taking skills and know if 'all of the above' is an option, you always choose it!

So let's rewind back to Sunday, Febuary 26th as I give you the low-down on the making of this shoot.

I'll start by introducing Sunday's Crew:

CJ: A super tall human

Destiny: A not so tall human

Me: Also a not so tall human

Fun fact about our crew: We have all swapped jackets with each other at least once. We have also patented the hashtags #fashion™ and #gangang™

So as you can tell, we are the actual dream team.

Okay, so now onto the real introductions.
CJ: I have worked with CJ before, as he helped me wrap up 2016 with a laid-back shoot that soon turned into a very eventful day. You can read more about how I managed to continue shooting in freezing cold temperatures and a deep gash in my hand, here. CJ is super cool and laid-back, which is perfect for me because during shoots I swear I am a crazy person 95% of the time.
Destiny: I have never met Destiny (outside of the internet) before this shoot. We met on a Facebook group for creatives and soon found out that we were both located in NC and that we had similar shooting styles. So obviously a face-to-face meeting and a collaboration was our next step. Once we meet in person, it was like we knew each other for years. Even CJ chimed in and said "Oh you two are going to work perfectly together."  And a small side note: Destiny and I have a very big shoot planned very soon. I don't want to give too many details away, but I will give you 2 words to describe our upcoming shoot. And the 2 words are: ethereal and airy. I'm super excited about our upcoming project, but that is all I can share with you all right now. ;)
Anyway, On Sunday, Destiny was my handy dandy asisant and co-videographer. And she did an amazing job juggling both.
And it's always fun to have a liked minded creative individual by your side.

Now that we have introduced everyone, let's move on to the recap of events that made this shoot possible.

8:45 am: Destiny calls me
9:00 am: Destiny tells me that her phone GPS has made her circle Concord (more than 1 hour away from Greensboro) for the past hour and that she would not be able to make our 9:30 pre-shoot meeting
9:05 am: Destiny finally get's her GPS working and is on her way to Greensboro
9:30 am: I head Downtown to meet CJ at 10 am
9:50 am: I arrive at the Green Bean and indulge in two cups of Alpine Berry tea
10:03 am: CJ arrives at the Green Bean (3 minutes late because he does not claim to be a morning person).
10:05-10:15 am: CJ and I chill, chitchat, and sign contracts at the Green Bean as we wait for Destiny to arrive and for CJ to wake up
10:15 am: Destiny arrives at the Green Bean
10:30 am: The shoot is now ago.
Now that the recap is over, let's go into the details of the shoot, aka location.

Surprisingly, being the Greensboro native that I am, I have never actually done a shoot in Downtown Greensboro. But I felt inspired to try something new. So with Downtown Greensboro as our canvas we went to work. Downtown Greensboro is filled with crooked alley ways, pavement paintings, and weathered concrete walls, all of which were perfect for this fashion oriented shoot. Frolicking around the city without an actual agenda is way more fun that having a planned itinerary. We were able to find some really cool and creative places while walking around.
I have a feeling CJ and Destiny were getting slightly irritated by my wandering imagination as I stopped every 10 feet to snap a few pics and awkwardly posed them together for a few photos. But I just couldn't help myself. I was like a kid at a candy shop with $20 to buy anything I wanted.

My favorite saying is "let the photos speak for themselves".
So here I am, shutting up, and letting the photos speak for themselves.
