Hello blog!

It's time to wrap up 2017! This year has yield itself to so many experiences. Every single one of my shoots were unique in their own way, and as much as I would love to talk about each shoot individually, I decided that I would instead reflect on my top 5 shoot experiences of the year. Don't get me wrong, I love every shoot I did this year with all my heart. The shoots I choose were picked because they were a turning point for my photography career. This will make more sense as we go on. Make sure you click on the title of each section to check out the FULL blog post from the shoot!

Now, let's get into to.

Greenhouse — This shoot was holds a lot of first for me. My first fashion shoot. This shoot was both chaotic & exciting. This shoot was what sparked my love for fashion photography. This was also the first time this year I was truly proud of my work. I was so happy with the outcome of these photos. I truly could see the my potential was being unleashed (not to be dramatic). This also was my very first Youtube video. Now with 3,000+ views, I think it was a great first. This shoot was my very first shoot with Jesse. Jesse has been a tremendous help to me this year. Having worked with her on a total of 3 shoot this year. She has really been a great supported of my work.

Sirens — My most iconic shoot of the year. Literally. The video from this shoot has 12,000+ views on YouTube and serval of these photos are apart of my Instagram Best Nine Photos of 2017. To this day I still get the occasional message or comment from someone who found my work from this shoot. Not only was this shoot a huge success, but it was my first shoot collaborative shoot with Destiny Law. Ever since this shoot, Destiny and I have been able to work with each other on a handful of projects this year.

Boudoir — Um wow!!! That would be a great summary of this shoot. Ashton came across my work from my Sirens shoot (I told ya'll it was iconic). I couldn’t believe there was a client out there that loved my work so much that she wanted me to shoot such an intimate session. Another first for me. I have never shot a boudoir session before, But we rented an AirBnB and got to work. Ashton was a joy to work with.  Ashton even got a little book made using the pictures from the shoot. I'm sooo glad that her husband loved the pictures. But I mean how could he not? Like...look at her! I still get a little jealous when I see her post from Hawaii.

Black Vibe Tribe — My first shoot with a brand. For months I was trying to get some experience in working with clothing brands to broaden my portfolio. I was thrilled when I meet Trinity! This was such a wonderful project that I can’t believe I actually it pulled this off. But it takes a village. So thankful for Tommy's help on this shoot.

Outdoor Studio — My last shoot of year and let me tell you, I was very ambitious on this one. A windy parking deck + a flimsy backdrop was probably not the best senecio to be in. But I was determined to go out with a BANG! Full gallery &YouTube video coming in 2018. ;)
