Hello, blog!

I went to Toronto for the weekend. I decided not to extensively vlog because I honestly just wanted to relax and enjoy my time in the city. But if you're still interested in my retro, 80s, vintage camcorder styled vlog: then you are more than welcome to check it out.

But don't worry if you're not into the video, there are plenty of pictures!

I didn't have many expectations of Toronto before I arrived. The only large city I have been to was New York. So basically I was expecting New York but in Canada. I wasn't entirely wrong with this assumption. Toronto was relaxing and carefree. We skipped all the tourist attractions so there weren't miles of people to push through and the violence of car horns was almost absent. The vibe was on another level. It was quiet and normal. I didn't feel like I was anywhere special. I felt like I was exactly where I needed to be. This might be also due to the fact that I stayed in the most stress-free and welcoming Airbnb ever. I actually felt like I was *kinda* on vacation.

But that's as far as my vacation fantasy went. The weather was pretty crumby all weekend. It was either snowing or raining, so you imagine why I didn't record much. But I didn't really mind the weather all that much. Surprisingly I felt like this is the weather I expected to endure while in Canada and since St. Catharines wasn't feeding my vice, Toronto did the trick. This is true in several instances. I think the best part of this trip was the yummy food. I mean, seriously good food. On campus, my diet consists of smoothies, salads, and several varieties of chicken. So this weekend I balled out. I'm talking sushi and steak, my friends.

Thanks to Matilda for being my travel buddy for the weekend! Our time in the 6 (shoutout to you Drizzy) was short-lived but this will not be the last time the city sees us.

Thanks for reading!
